Perfect French Fries

-The next step to making crispy fries is washing the potatoes. This removes the excess starch they contain, preventing them from sticking together and making them crispier. So, place them on a draining board and wash them with plenty of water.

-Drain any excess water and fry the potatoes. We’ll do this in two very different phases. In the first phase, add plenty of olive oil to a pan or deep fryer over medium heat; just enough to completely cover the potatoes and place them inside.

-Let them cook for about 10 minutes, depending on the potato’s hardness. When it’s soft, remove it from the oil and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. This resting time is crucial for our crispy fries, so if you have time, don’t skip it.

-After this time, heat the oil to maximum and add the potatoes. When they are golden brown and to our liking, remove them. Cook for about two minutes. Place them on absorbent paper and add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, and stir.
